When to change jobs

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” ― Maya Angelou

My reasons for a change (it can be within the same company)

  • When you no longer feel like going to work

  • When you no longer see the good side of the job

  • When you only see the negative things

  • When you only see what you haven’t done or what’s still left to do

  • When you become the pessimist of the group

  • When you don’t trust the leadership

  • When you see that what you do adds nothing. If you weren’t there, everything would work just as well, and just as badly.

  • When you spread your negativity to everyone else

I also like the reflection Carlos Blé shares in this post (in Spanish):

  • If the work environment is toxic, if there’s no respect or trust, if there are no moments of focus, if it doesn’t look like the situation can change, that’s when I’ve considered moving to another project or company.

P.S. If you get an offer you can’t refuse from your dream company… that’s also a sign it’s time for a change… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
